A very close guess!! It is a natural continuous gas fire on a hillside. I have been told that years ago the whole mountain was on fire. That is just what remains now, yet, still a great attraction close to Baku. Thank you Robert for checking the post.
It’s a pleasure to see your photos. We have a few small fires of that sort, in my state (New York) – one is in a tiny cave behind a waterfall, near Lake Erie.
